By now, even the slowest among you must have realized that it is impossible to know things for sure, to get to the truth of things, to understand their essence.
We are in a cage, we not only cannot trust our senses (just google optical and other sensorial illusions) which evolved to let us survive and reproduce, not sophisticated stuff like “knowing the truth”, but we cannot even trust our very senses to exist.
After all, why do you think you have a body and there’s a world out there?
You think your “eyes” or “fingers” or “ears” tell you? Why?
Because someone taught you in school that the brain process their “signals”?
So whatever you feel and perceive is the result of the brain (we’ll come to the bastard soon) telling you your senses “felt” something.
In other words, your brain could be lying to you, and you could be strapped to some multi-dimensional VR headset, like SAO, or in some simulation like The Matrix.
But let’s take it a step further: we said your brain could be lying about your body and your surroundings, what if you don’t even have a “body”? And a brain?
What if whatever your mind is, it exists on a plan which is not physical, and whatever lies outside of it is de facto unknowable.
Philosphers tried to wrap their head (lol) around this concept, and they called it Solipsism:
Solipsism is the philosophical idea that only one's mind is sure to exist. As an epistemological position, solipsism holds that knowledge of anything outside one's own mind is unsure; the external world and other minds cannot be known and might not exist outside the mind.
- yeah yeah I’m quoting Wikipedia
So you can’t be sure that anything exists at all outside of our mind.
Your parents? Friends? That great gelato you tasted once in Europe? Your precious shitcoins? All in your mind.
But they didn’t dare to realize the huge possibility this could offer:
The fact that we could be not just trapped in our own mind, but that our mind could be the Architect of this universe.
You have read for sure how many of the most succesful people of the planet wanted something so hard, and with such intensity, that they “made it real”.
Yeah effort, time, luck, yadda yadda, but most of them were really obsessed and pretty much sure to get the result they wanted, until it happened.
If we start going into schizo territory, and we accept that all the other people are just NPCs and/or figments of my imagination, we can speculate that probably our mind is creating these people to show us that will = power = reality, that I can create and shape reality just by willing it.
It could take a lifetime to learn how to do it, but who’s to say I’m not immortal?
Now, is there a lesson or alpha here for you somewhere here? I’m afraid not, because if all of this is right, you’re not real and are just my reader because I put you on this planet for my entertainment or growth.
Sorry pal, better luck next time.
will = power = reality, that I can create and shape reality just by willing it.
Beautifully said and so inherently deep that one could talk about this for years.
